Ling Ji, Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy China International Trade Representative Met with Simon Lichtenberg, the All China Founding Chairman of the Danish Chamber of Commerce in China

On May 19, Ling Ji, Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy China International Trade Representative met with Simon Lichtenberg, the All China Founding Chairman of the Danish Chamber of Commerce in China (DCCC).

Ling Ji stated that recently, President Xi Jinping replied to a letter from the DCCC, encouraging the DCCC and its member enterprises to make new contributions to China-Denmark and China-EU friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation, which greatly encourages Danish enterprises committed to cooperation with China and provides direction for China-Denmark cooperation. Over the past 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China-Denmark economic and trade relations have maintained sound development. Danish companies operating in China have actively integrated into China’s innovative ecosystem. China and Danish companies have achieved positive outcomes in cooperation sectors such as pharmaceuticals, electric vehicles, transportation, and logistics. Both sides should pursue green and innovation-driven cooperation, promoting the upgrading of China-Denmark economic and trade relations.

Simon Lichtenberg expressed that President Xi Jinping’s reply letter to the DCCC is a great honor not only for the DCCC but also for the Danish business community. Danish enterprises in China are confident about further developing the Chinese market, and the DCCC will play a bridging role, actively offering policy advice to both Chinese and Danish governments.
