The 19th meeting of China-Poland Joint Economic Cooperation Commission held in Beijing

On November 4, Ling Ji, Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy China International Trade Representative, and Michał Baranowski, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of Poland, co-chaired the 19th meeting of the China-Poland Joint Economic Cooperation Commission in Beijing.

Ling Ji pointed out that under the strategic leadership of the two heads of state, China-Poland trade and economic cooperation has maintained steady and sound development in recent years, generating fruitful outcomes. China is ready to strengthen cooperation with Poland in multiple areas such as trade, investment, connectivity, and infrastructure development, and hopes that Poland could provide a fair, just, and non-discriminatory business environment for Chinese enterprises.

Noting that Poland is an important member of the European Union (EU), Ling expressed the hope that Poland could encourage the EU to pull with China in the same direction, exercise caution in imposing trade restrictions on China, resolve economic and trade frictions through dialogue and consultations, and jointly uphold the multilateral trading system with WTO at its core.

Michał Baranowski said that Poland highly values its trade and economic cooperation with China and looks forward to expanding exports of agricultural products to China. Poland welcomes investment from Chinese enterprises in the country and looks to deepen cooperation with China in new energy, electric vehicles, logistics, and other fields.
