On February 28, Ling Ji, Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy China International Trade Representative, met with Jens Eskelund, President of the European Chamber of Commerce in China.
Ling said that the Chinese government is committed to high-level opening-up with continuous efforts to foster a market-oriented, law-based and international business environment and provide policy guarantees and quality services for foreign-invested enterprises, including those from the European Union. It is hoped that the EU Chamber of Commerce in China will continue to play its role as a bridge, encourage EU companies to increase investment in China and contribute to the sustained, stable and sound development of China-EU economic and trade relations.
Eskelund said that the 24-point guideline for foreign investment is widely welcomed by EU enterprises in China. The EU Chamber of Commerce in China will actively promote exchanges and cooperation between the Chinese and EU business communities and support EU companies in achieving greater success in China.
