The Ministry of Commerce held the China-Germany Industrial Park Experience Sharing Meeting and the German Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Roundtable meeting in Taicang

On December 9, Ling Ji, Vice Minister of Commerce and deputy China International Trade Representative, presided over a China-German industrial Park experience exchange meeting in Taicang, Jiangsu Province. The meeting invited heads of six China-German industrial parks to share their development experiences. After that, he presided over a roundtable meeting of German small and medium-sized enterprises to hear the development and operation of 14 German small and medium-sized enterprises and foreign business associations in China, as well as their comments and concerns on China’s business environment.

Ling said that China remains firm in promoting high-level opening up, continues to optimize the business environment, and welcomes foreign SMEs. China’s enormous market, complete industrial system and advantages in talents and innovation will provide more opportunities for German SMEs to develop in China. The Ministry of Commerce will work with relevant departments to continue to strengthen service provision for foreign-invested projects and enterprises, fully implement national treatment for FIEs, and help them continue to untap the Chinese market. It is hoped that German enterprises will continue to innovate and develop in the fields of digital economy, intelligent manufacturing, green and low-carbon development, and cooperate with Chinese enterprises for win-win results.

The meeting was joined by heads of commerce departments of Beijing, Liaoning, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong and Qingdao.
