“Invest in China” Roundtable for Swedish Companies in Stockholm

On March 31 local time, the “Invest in China” Roundtable for Swedish Enterprises was held in Stockholm. Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy China International Trade Representative Ling Ji presided over the meeting, and Charge d’Affairs of Chinese Embassy in Sweden Wan Degang attended the meeting. The meeting is also joined by Alfa Laval, IKEA, Volvo and other 15 enterprises and two business associations namely Business Sweden and Sweden-China Trade Council.

Ling Ji said, in the recent meeting with international business community, President Xi Jinping clearly pointed out that China will advance reform and opening up unswervingly and open its door wider and wider, and that its policies on utilizing foreign investment did not and will not change. China’s economy features strong resilience, huge market potential, complete industrial system, and concentration of innovation factors. China will continue to promote high-level opening up to the outside world and strengthen service guarantees for enterprises, providing multinational corporations, including Swedish companies, with excellent soil for development. Swedish enterprises are welcome to expand their investment in China in such advantageous areas as green and low-carbon, digital economy and intelligent manufacturing, and to grow with an open China.

The enterprise representatives present fully affirmed the continuous efforts made by the Chinese government to create an open, efficient and convenient investment environment for foreign invested enterprises. They said that they are optimistic about the Chinese market and will further expand their investment and cooperation with China, contributing to the healthy and stable development of China-Sweden economic and trade relations.
